Yes, it's true. Indoor plants can boost your immune system, act as an air purifier and can have a positive impact on your mental health.

Growing up my Mom loved having houseplants. They were so beautiful and made the house feel warm and inviting.

Here are 3 common houseplants with major health benefits:

The spider plant is extremely adaptable. It can grow in light, partial light and even indirect sunlight. And for people that have busy lives, or just forget, the spider plant is flexible with over watering or under-watering. 2. The Aloe Vera plant:

The Aloe Vera plant is very beautiful and is known to be a powerhouse among houseplants. Aloe Vera likes a lot of light, but is super easy to maintain and keep alive.

It releases oxygen and absorbs carbon dioxide at night...a real life air purifier. It also has healing benefits for your skin, it heals burns and skin irritations.

3. The Snake plant:

Yes, I did say the Snake plant. Amazingly this very pretty plant is one of the healthiest houseplants you can have in your home. The Snake plant can thrive in full sun or shade. And it doesn't require much water, can't get easier than that!

Research has shown that the Snake plant is the highest oxygen producing indoor plant, it helps absorb toxins throughout your home!
