The first step to healing chronic symptoms is being open and ready for change. It's absolutely fascinating to me how many humans are suffering each day but aren't willing or open for change.
Why do you think this is? I have a few ideas...
Being scared. Scared to put in the work, scared to believe they can change.
The illness has become their new identity.
They have lost self confidence and self-love.
The don't believe their horrifying symptoms can shift.
They have been told by numerous doctors that they can't be fixed.
They don't have anymore energy to keep trying.
They feel lonely and unheard.
I have found over the years that many of the social media support groups actually do a huge disservice to people dealing with an illness. The support groups are typically just a place to rant and a place to spread fear and negativity. I'm not saying every single support group is like this, but in my personal experience, the majority are.
In my wellness business, I focus on the positivity and the belief that each of us has the ability to change. The first thing I tell clients, family and friends is, "you will not heal unless you are open, willing and ready".
When I begin working with a new client, I always begin with...
Do you believe you can heal?
Are you open to a new understanding of your illness and symptoms?
Are you willing to let go of old beliefs about your illness/symptoms?
Are you dedicated to changing?
Are you willing to change?
If they respond "yes" to these questions, I know that they are going to heal.
If any of this resonates with you, I'd love to connect. Let's heal together.
XX,
Jessica
